The Sky’s the Limit!

The Westport Art Group invites members and non-members to enter work for our The Sky’s the Limit! themed exhibit. The theme is subject to your interpretation.

This is an exhibition open to all mediums and motifs, including 2D, 3D works and Photography.

No registration or payment at drop off will be accepted.

CRITERIA FOR ARTWORK

• You may submit up to 3 artworks: pictures, sculpture or fine craft, 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional, in any media including photography.

• Entries must be your original work, not a reproduction, glicee, or copy of another work. Artwork should have been completed by you and not previously shown at WAG.

• Your artwork should be submitted for sale (25% commission). You may list only one of your paintings as not for sale, just be sure to specify the price or “NFS”.

• Size limits and display:
  2D: Due to space limitations for this show, maximum size for 2D works will be 46” in either direction and a maximum weight of 30 Lbs. 2D Artworks must be framed or gallery wrapped if applicable, and ready to hang with a wire. Sawtooth hangers and 2D work without hanging wire on the back are not allowed. Photographs (excepting Aluminum Prints) and most works on paper must be framed behind glass. Please have your name, address, phone number, title, and price on the back of each work.

  3D: 3D works can be no larger than 46” wide, 24” deep and 5’ in height, including stand or pedestal. Larger 3-D works should come with their own pedestals. If a work weighs more than 25 lbs, artist must install on hanging day.

• BIN ART: Artists submitting artwork wall entries may also add up to 2 bin entries at no additional fee. Bin art is not registered online but will be registered at drop-off by the artist. All bin art must be wrapped in acetate or plastic and clearly labeled on the back with artists name, email, phone, title and medium. Bin art can be reproduction prints, but it needs to be clearly stated on the label.

• WAG reserves the discretion to not show a work, including, for example, a work that does not meet the above criteria.

• Use of Images: Any artwork submitted may be used for marketing and promotional purposes directly related to this show. This use may include publication in any printed materials, advertisements, or electronic media. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the artist.

• Utmost care will be taken handling artwork, but WAG is not responsible for loss of or damage to artwork.

ONLINE ENTRY ONLY
Online entry registration will be open until October 14.

Late registrations are no longer allowed and registration and entry fee payment can no longer be done during drop- off. Please print out your registration email receipt when done to check for errors and to help you remember what you entered. If titles and prices of artwork delivered on drop off day do not match your registration that piece will not be shown. Entry Fees:

• The Members entry fee is $20 for one or $25 for two or three artworks, subject to a $15 discount if you volunteer to gallery sit on at least one day. Discount code at registration is PICTURE.

• Non Members entry fee is $30 for one or $35 for two or three artworks.

• WAG scholarship recipients pay no entry fee.

• WAG retains a 25% commission on any sold art.

There will be a $15 fee-reduction available for WAG members who volunteer to gallery sit.

ARTWORK DROP OFF AND PICK UP

DROP OFF: All art must be delivered in person. Name of work, name of artist, address, phone, email and price or NFS must be on the back of each piece. Delivery of art is to: The Westport Art Group, 1740 Main Road, Westport MA 02790.

DROP OFF DAYS: Thursday, October 15, 12:30-2PM , or Friday, October 16, 4PM to 6PM or by prior arrangement. Artworks will not be accepted after this time.

PICK-UP: All unsold artwork must be picked up when the show closes on Sunday, November 1 at 3:45-4:15 PM or on Monday, November 2 between 4-6:00 PM or by prior arrangement. Works not picked up after 30 days can be subject to a storage charge. Works left in the Gallery more than 30 days after the last pick-up date become the property of WAG.

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

The entry fee now must be paid during online registration by credit card. Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces.

Note that WAG registration is a three-step process:

1. Online entry below. No image uploads needed for registration. Select your choice in the appropriate drop down box and click Add to Cart to fill out the registration form.

2. Then you must go to your cart to check out. Your registration will not be completed if you skip the checkout process.

   
   For members paying online, there is a $15 fee-reduction for gallery sitting. To receive your discount: At checkout, enter the code PICTURE in the Discount box BEFORE completing check out. This will give you $15 off your registration fee. The discount is not available after you complete check out.

   
   Follow the prompts to complete the credit card payment. If you are on an iphone, the Cart is a very small icon at the very bottom of the page. You will need to click on the Apple to pay.

3. Check your email for registration and payment confirmation. If you did not get an email confirmation, you are either not registered or have submitted an invalid email! If this happens try registering again. If you still have problems contact Bossbandbob@gmail.com.
